Conan vs. Leno vs. NBC vs. the world

The late night war between Conan and Leno has gotten a bit ridiculous, hilarious, and depressing. It’s worth nothing that this story has not been confirmed by NBC, but is looking very likely at the time of writing.
Conan O’Brien has been given hosting duties of the Tonight Show at 11:35 from Jay Leno, and only seven months later Conan is getting the show taken away from him…by Jay Leno. Being a long time fan of Conan, and a long time disliker of Leno, I was very surprised and disappointed in the whole situation. The best thing that came from this is the celebrity support for Conan, most notably from Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel is a late show host on ABC, and after hearing the news, he impersonated Leno for a whole show. Kimmel then went on Leno for a segment and ended up trashing Leno on his own show, its brilliant.

Conan has had a long and great career on NBC and it’s a shame to see him go. With awesome segments, crazy interviews, and even hosting the Emmy’s there is a lot to remember. Look for Conan to be doing something in the future, and until then I’ll be doing my best not to watch Leno.
