Mixing rock classics with pop classics, the band “Rock Sugar” has the best mock band premise in recent memory. Mixing rock and metal classics from bands such as Metallica or AC/DC with pop classics from Madonna and Journey kind of works in a weird way.

This is Spinal Tap is not only one of the best rock and roll movies ever, it is also one of the funniest. This ‘mockumentary’ follows UK’s Spinal Tap as they go on their first American tour. Although this isn’t a real band the actors: play their own instruments, have toured the world, and have come out with two albums. Following the band as they tour America we see how outrageous and idiotic each of the members really are.

Through the course of the movie we see: exploding drummers, failed stage props, amps that go up to 11 and much more. The satire and stereotypes found in this movie are incredibly funny, and the music is catchy and also very funny. If you are a fan of rock, comedy, or good movies, do yourself a favor and watch this movie; this one goes up to 11.
